Washer Repair
Nothing else in the house throws that much wet weight around, which is why bearings, seals and suspension are the parts that tire first. Down here the laundry usually sits inside the living space rather than in a basement, so a leak is a flooring problem before it is an appliance problem. Leaks jump the queue on our schedule, and the standpipe and shutoff valves get a look on every visit whether you asked for it or not.
We have been doing washer work out of the same Jupiter shop since 1985, and the order of things has never changed: read the appliance, then quote it. A technician takes live readings, looks at whatever the machine has logged for itself, and only then names a part, because on this appliance the gap between a cheap repair and an expensive one often comes down to one measurement.
What the appointment looks like
You get a two hour window rather than a whole day to wait through, and the technician calls before setting off. Once the washer has been tested you are told plainly what happened and given a single price for the part and the work together. Nothing comes apart until you have said yes to it.
Roughly three in four washer repairs finish on that first visit, because the van is loaded from our own record of what actually gives out on this appliance along this coast. If something has to be ordered you get the date before we leave, and the return slot is booked there and then rather than chased up later.
Who builds this appliance
Every make we service that builds this appliance is set out further down, Miele, Asko, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Maytag among them. Who made it matters more than most owners expect. A Miele and a GE will happily show the same error for entirely different reasons, and the road to the answer runs differently on each.
Repair it or replace it?
You will get a straight answer. The rule we hold ourselves to is simple: if a repair would run past half the price of a comparable new machine and the unit is already beyond two thirds of its expected life, replacing it is usually the better spend. Under that line, and on almost any built-in or professional appliance, repair wins easily. We would rather lose the job than sell a part nobody should be buying.
Towns we do this work in
Washer Repair is available in all nine towns on our route: Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Juno Beach, Tequesta, Hobe Sound, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Stuart and Jupiter Island. The price, the warranty and the arrival window are identical in every one, and nothing is added for travel inside the ZIP codes listed on our service area pages.

What the washer is telling you
Nothing else in the house throws that much wet weight around, which is why bearings, seals and suspension are the parts that tire first. Down here the laundry usually sits inside the living space rather than in a basement, so a leak is a flooring problem before it is an appliance problem. Leaks jump the queue on our schedule, and the standpipe and shutoff valves get a look on every visit whether you asked for it or not.
Washes fine, will not spin
On a front loader start with the door lock, because a lock that will not confirm itself closed lets the machine wash and then refuse to spin. After that the belt, the motor control board and the tacho on the motor.
Water left in the drum at the end
The pump filter first, and on most machines you can reach it yourself. Coins, hair grips and buttons stop the impeller without damaging it. Filter clear? Then the pump, the pressure switch hose, or a drain line with a kink in it.
It walks across the floor on spin
Shipping bolts still in on a new install, worn suspension rods on a top loader, or shock absorbers on a front loader. On tile, levelling matters far more than people expect, because nothing underneath absorbs the movement.
A grind or rumble that rises with the spin
Tub bearings. Caught early that is bearings and a seal. Left running, the seal lets water into the housing and the job grows into a whole outer tub, so this is the noise worth acting on this week rather than next month.
Laundry smelling musty
Biofilm in the door gasket, the detergent drawer and the drain hose of a front loader, fed by too much detergent and a door kept closed. In this humidity it establishes itself faster than it does up north. We strip and clean the machine and show you the habit that keeps it away.
Door still locked when the cycle ends
The lock assembly, a board that still thinks there is water in the tub, or a drain problem holding the interlock. There is a manual release on nearly every machine and we will show you where yours hides before we go.
Manufacturers that build washer appliances
These are the makes we service that build this appliance. Each brand page sets out the full range that manufacturer makes and what tends to give out on it.
What happens once you call
The shape of a visit is the same whichever appliance it is and whichever town on the coast you are in.
- Two hour window, confirmed by phone or text
- One price, approved by you before anything comes apart
- Nothing on the invoice you did not agree to
Tell us what it is doing
Ring the shop or book online and describe what you are seeing: the make, the model number if it is to hand, and what happens when you run the machine. Detail here is what decides whether the right part leaves on the van.
We test it properly
A technician arrives inside a two hour window, reads whatever the appliance has logged for itself, tests the circuit that points at, and tells you in plain language what happened.
You say yes to one price
One price for the finished job, given before anything comes apart. Say yes and most repairs are done that same visit, with 30 days on labor written on the invoice.

washer repair questions
Are front loaders really more trouble than top loaders?
They are not more trouble, they just ask for a different habit. Leave the door and the detergent drawer open between loads, use a fraction of the detergent the box suggests, and run a hot maintenance wash once a month. Households that do those three things almost never call us about odor.
Nine years old and needing bearings. Mend it or not?
On a Miele or an Asko, repair without hesitating: those are built to run twenty years and the parts are there. On a mainstream machine where the bearing is pressed into a sealed outer tub, parts and time can approach the price of a new washer, and we will lay both numbers in front of you before you decide.
Do you service stacked laundry in a closet?
Yes, and in the condominiums along the beach it is common work. A stacked pair has to be separated to reach most parts, so we allow extra time rather than rushing it, and we check that the closet has enough air movement. Heat with nowhere to go is what shortens the life of these machines.
